Getting escaped from bustling street in the town, you’ll pave down your steps in the walking trails to Plias Waterfall. The vibrant scenery on the left side drows a chilly air from Mbeliling forest. Such a wonderful day!

This jungle walk distance is around 2 km. Some part of the bush are steep and muddy but if you wear your best trekking shoes, you’ll get down gently.

Walking Trails to Plias Waterfall

If you have a chance, you will hear melodic sound of Flores Flycatcher; one of the Flores endemic bird. This is a bundle package of your outdoor activity outside of the town. Keep strolling down until you hear the babbling Plias Waterfall.

Magical Cleansing Under The Waterfall

The pure showering water from the river pours gently in your body. You can also swim inside the natural pond around the drops. Some part of the pond approximately 1,5 m deep. This mountain water is cool.

There are three spots where you can refresh your body with this mountain stream. Local guide will lead you to these spots. Be aware of slippery paths around the water. Kindly follow local guides instructions for a better and safe walk.

Pack Your Gears

Visiting this village is an outdoor activity. So, these are the things that you should zipped in your backpack:

A. Bottle of Mineral Water

You will need some water to keep hidrated along to the way up and down. Fill your tumbler before heading down to the waterfall. Avoid using plastic bottle to keep the nature clean. If you don’t have any tumbler, use a refill plastic bottle.

B. Hat, Towel, and Extra Tsirt

You will need towel and dry tsirt after rinsed from the cool water. Around the waterfall there are toilet room which used also for changing room.

C. Trekking Shoes

Proper shoes will help you to trek down and up easily. The trekking route sometimes muddy after rainy, therefore slippers are not suitable.

D. Rain Coat

The village located in the rainy area. Drizzly day rain might happen on your tour. A rain coat will be needed during your walk. Discus with your travel agent regarding the current weather before the trip.
